What the app works with

• Your profile. Birth year, date of your last period, how regular your cycles were, what bothers you most. Stored only in the app's local storage on your device, used solely to estimate your stage and explain your days.
• Check-ins. Symptom scores, triggers, period flow, notes, medication and HRT entries. Local only.
• Apple Health (iOS) and Health Connect (Android). With your permission the app reads sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, wrist or skin temperature and menstrual flow for the last few weeks, to compare each night with your own baseline. This data is read on your device, summarised per day, kept in the app's local storage and never transmitted anywhere. It is not used for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than showing you your own explanations. It is never sold or shared with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app (iOS) or Health Connect settings (Android); the app keeps working without it.
• Notifications. The optional evening reminder is scheduled locally on your device. No push servers.
• Share card and PDF report. Rendered on your device and handed to the system share sheet. Nothing leaves the phone unless you choose a destination. The share card contains no name, dates or notes.
• Backups. If you export a backup, the file is yours — MenoShift never uploads it.
• Purchases. Handled by Apple or Google. Subscription status is verified through RevenueCat using an anonymous, randomly generated identifier; no personal or health data is part of it. We never see payment details.

What the app does not do

• No accounts, no sign-in
• No analytics, no tracking, no advertising SDKs
• No third-party data sharing (there is nothing to share)
• No network transmission of your personal or health data

Data deletion

Deleting the app deletes all of its data. You can export a backup first if you want to keep it. There is nothing to delete on our side because nothing was sent to us.

Health information disclaimer

MenoShift provides general information about perimenopause and menopause based on published guidelines. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or replace advice from a qualified clinician.

Children

MenoShift is intended for adults and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here before the change takes effect.
